| I seriously can't remember why I made this post. So, discuss: Obama lost your Olympics. | |

So cute. | |

| Dude, if there is one thing at Thanksgiving I would it, it would be Deviled Eggs. But stuffing is right there at second. Like, it's perfect. It's just.. grub. And it tastes good. It's just asking to be devoured. | |

| I will concede that both ham and deviled eggs are tasty, though I still think stuffing comes out at the top. | |

| For thanksgiving, yes. Stuffing is king. Little king smiley now. There it is. That is stuffing. Personally, can't have ham at Thanksgiving because my sis is Jewish. But the eggs are so good. Personal 2nd fave goes to pumpkin seeds though. Discuss. | |

| Pumkin seeds are bomb. Deviled eggs, not so much. They smell bad. I don't like eggs to begin with, but deviled eggs, ugh.
I don't recall a Thanksgiving where ham was involved, just turkey. Which is usually moderately dry.
Honeyed carrots are delicious. Discuss.

Honeyed carrots are delicious. Discuss. I reject your reality. Also, we've had several Thanksgivings with both turkey and ham. The turkey usually is dry and gross, but the ham is, more often than not, exquisite.

| This thing dies more than like, um, Terminator. And the Dalai Lama. Combined. Badass, back to American Thanksgiving then.

| ...You ever watch the movie Pocahontas?
The Pilgrims were going through their first winter in their new found lands, and the natives were gracious to share with them food. On that day, it was a massive feast, everyone gave Thanks. >.>

| The US celebrates that time the natives taught them to make awesome food, right before the colonists slaughtered them and took their land. =P | |

| The tradition of Thanksgiving on Thursday started with Lincoln, who proclaimed the last Thursday of November as a day of thanks: - Quote :
- I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United
States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. On one year that had five Thanksgivings, though, Roosevelt decreed that the fourth Thursday of November would be Thanksgivings, and in the midst of the Great Depression, he thought that an earlier Thanksgiving holiday would raise spirits and boost economy. Amusingly enough, some people just said, "Screw that," and had Thanksgiving on the last Thursday anyway. Then in the 1940s, US Congress officially passed a resolution to name the fourth Thursday in November as the official Thanksgiving. So, to answer your question of why Thursday; No good reason.
