Text Log of Speech : Nacht Killa

It has been some time since I have spoken.

I just want to thank you all for your dedication to what I love and I am sure the rest of the Sixth loves most.

The Sixth Column has grown silent upon Paragon City for a long time. We want those heroes and villains who once knew of us, but believed we were dead, know we are not dead. We have returned to the surface and will begin a new army of Justice!

But it will only go where you take it. Come together, be mighty soldats at heart and rise to be the future leaders of the Sixth's future.

All that we ask of you is for you to not leave your fellow soldats behind.

If you are willing to stand beside your fellow soldat in this time of rebuilding. Come. Stand beside me. For I will do my best to lead your way.

Then together we will rise. For the Sixth!

First off, we want to talk about how all this is going to go down.

As you know, this is not the first revival of the Sixth. To make this one work, we really want to do things right. And part of that is taking things slow. The pace of this movement is going to be steady and sure; we don't want to rush into things. That means we'll grow slowly, but surely, letting reliable and worthwhile members come to us, instead of trying to get anyone and everyone in the door as fast as possible.

So, we just want all of you to know that, and be okay with that, and to get used to how the pace of all this is going to be.

That doesn't mean, however, that we'll let people sit their characters in the roster and let them rot there. We will have an inactivity limit of 15 days. What that means is, if a character is not logged on for more than 15 days, without posting a reason on the forums or contacting one of the Komturs in some way, they will be kicked from the group.

If you do let us know that you'll be gone, say if you're going out of town for a business trip or vacation for a few weeks, that's fine; just as long as you let us know.

Next, promotions.

We can tell you, we get asked all the time, "How do I get promoted? How do I become an officer?"

I'll tell you now, it's not by asking.

Soldats will be recommended for promotion by an officer, who will pass their name on to the komturs for review. If you're a soldat, just be yourself and be an asset to the group. If you're an officer, keep an eye out for exemplary soldats that you think might make good officers.

On the same hand, keep an eye out for soldats who would make terrible officers; we need to know those types of things, too.

When someone is selected for promotion, a promotion ceremony will be held. Those events are lots of fun and cool to attend, so you should make every effort to be at one if you can.

Next, we want to talk a little about recruiting.

Like I said before, this is a slow and steady process. We'll gain members through steady means; if there are a good number of people on, we might get together under Atlas and hold a contest or two, like you did tonight.

If we're teaming with a random pick-up group, we'll be polite and courteous, remembering that we represent the Sixth Column at all times, and get recruits that way.

Once we get the PvP team up and running, we'll be a dominating force in Siren's Call, and attract attention that way.

The bottom line is, we'll go about our routines in-game as usual, and every so often organize a recruiting 'event', and recruit as we go along. If ever someone comes up to you in daily gameplay and asks you about the Sixth, answer their questions if you can, if not, direct them either to an officer or to our site.

Be a good player and a good person in game, and recruits will roll in.

Speaking of the site, let's talk a little about the Sixth outside of the City.

By now, you should all have visited the site and/or the forums, and signed up for the latter. You should check those things often; we've got a lot of cool things in the works for both, and you wouldn't want to miss out on them.

Actually, with regard to cool things, you all have probably seen the Resources section of the forums, that has Guides and various things in it? If you ever have written or made something you want to go in there, let me know, and I'll be happy to post it in there for you.

In that same vein, if you do anything Sixth related that you think would go well on the website or the forums, send it our way!

The beauty of the Sixth Column is that it is enriched by every new member, with of course includes all of you and your efforts. If you have an interest in doing some writing or imaging for the Sixth, please contact me. We have some cool projects we're looking at, and good artistic or literary assistance would definitely be appreciated. And if you have any projects or events in mind, let us know! We'll hook you up with whatever you need.
